Here are some basic instructions for the padded vest. It's more like instruction overview as its not very detailed, but if you have any questions about it don't hesitate to ask.

Regarding the materials to use.
For the inside I use a fleece blanket and rectangles cut from a kids/gym foam mat (the type that comes in jigsaws).
For the outside you can use any fabric that's black. Linen is more breathable and in medieval times they used linen the first fee I made were from black linen fabric.
However, if you want to save on expense you can use cotton and to save time use a bedding set. If you're skinny you could use two pillowcases and save on a lot of hemming. Or a duvet and only need to hem 2 sides out of 4.
